VAN WERT, Ohio - Louise G. Stamper, 87, of Van Wert, died at 9:33 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.
She was born Nov. 15, 1924, in Kansas City, Mo, to the late Grace (Kimble) Vandervliet and Albertus Vandervliet.
Her husband, Buford "Bud" Stamper, survives of Van Wert.
Other survivors include her children: Barbara Stamper of Tampa, Fla., Pamela (Ronald) Bachman of Powell, Ohio, Sandra (Todd) Heck of Whitehouse, Ohio; son-in-law: William Pollock of Van Wert; sister: Mina Pierce of Cincinnati, Ohio; five grandchildren: Brian Stamper, Chad Pollock, Bradley Bachman, Abigail Bachman, Grant Fiock, and two stepgrandchildren: Katherine Heck, Elizabeth Heck, and three great-grandchildren: Greyson, Keira and Ashlyn Pollock.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Carol Pollock, a sister: Eva Janson, and two granddaughters: Cammie and Carrie Pollock.
She formerly worked for the US government at Morehead College and as an administrative assistant with Miami University. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Van Wert and a 20-year member with Van Wert Campfire Girls.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Gus Cristo-Baker will officiate, assisted by Dr. Robert Scheidt. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Friends may call from 2 - 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
