M. Carolyn Dippery, 92, of Van Wert, Ohio, passed away on January 9, 2013, at the Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center in Van Wert, Ohio.
She was born on November 6, 1920, in Mason, Michigan to Charles P. and Susan B. (Dunifon) Clark, both of whom are deceased. On July 7, 1940, she married Richard E. Dippery, Sr. he preceded her in death on November 21, 1993.
Carolyn is survived by her children, Dr. Richard E. (Edith) Dippery of Flint, Michigan and Jeanne (Rev. Thomas) Phillips of Grove City, Ohio; sisters, Pauline Wermer of Van Wert and Josephine (Richard) Ditto of Madison, Alabama; a brother, William (Helen) Wilcox of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, a sister-in-law, Judith Clark of Lutz, Florida; grandchildren, Kevin (Dawn) Dippery of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Dr. Kyle Dippery of Lexington, Kentucky, Kelli (Douglas) Heneghan of Round Rock, Texas, and Christopher Phillips of Columbus, Ohio; and five great grandchildren, Duncan and Mary Elizabeth Heneghan, and Macee, Emma and Hannah Dippery.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Sara Adams and a brother, John Clark.
Carolyn was a member of the St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Van Wert for over 60 years. She formerly worked for the Van Wert County Treasurer's office for over 25 years, and served as Chief Deputy before her retirement. She was a member of the Women's Republican Club.
Visitation will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday January 18, 2013 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home and Crematory, Van Wert, Ohio. Also, one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 am on Saturday January 19, 2013 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Van Wert, Ohio. Rev. Will Haggis and Rev. Thomas Phillips will officiate.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, Ohio.
Preferred memorials are to Van Wert Inpatient Hospice or St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
