M. Virginia Johnson, 95, of Van Wert, Ohio, passed away at noon on Thursday, Nov. 26, 2015, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Van Wert.
Johnson was born on September 29, 1920, in Wetzel, Ohio, to Dewey Swartz and Verna (Hammons) Swartz Allen, both of whom are deceased. She married Glen H. Johnson who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Larry Johnson of Port Orange, Florida and David (Linda) Johnson of Port Orange, Florida; two grandchildren, April McGuire and Heather Munoz; and great-grandchild, Tadd Munoz.
Johnson was also preceded in death by a sister, Georgia Miller.
She retired from Continental Can Company, Van Wert, after 40 years of service and was a member of the First United Brethern Church, Van Wert, and had also attended Trinity Friends Church, Van Wert.
A service will be held at noon on Saturday, Nov. 28, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert with Rev. Neil Hammons officiating. Calling will take place from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service. A burial will follow at Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point, Ohio.
