Macie MaKaila Preston, of Arcanum, Ohio, formerly of Ohio City, Ohio, died early Saturday morning, June 3, 2017, in Miami County, Ohio. She was born July 26, 1997, in Coldwater, Ohio.
Survivors include her mother and stepfather, Kerrie and Andrew (Kittle) Placke of Ohio City; father, Mark Preston of Arcanum; maternal grandparents, Terry and Charlene Kittle of Celina, Ohio; paternal grandparents, Ray and Carol Preston of Arcanum; step paternal grandparents, Gene and Ruth Placke of Findlay, Ohio; brothers, Christopher (Katie) Placke of Troy, Ohio, Jimmy "Bubba" Turner of Dayton, Ohio; sisters, Kelsie Preston of Middle Point, Ohio, Audrianna Placke of Ohio City, Crystal Placke of Brookville, Ohio, Lily Preston and Madison Preston, both of Arcanum.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jacob Turner.
She attended Crestview High School; was involved with cheer; 4-H, F.F.A., AWANA, played youth soccer, ran track and played softball for Wren.
Service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2017, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, Ohio. The Rev. Jeff Millay will officiate. Additional services will be held in Greenville, Ohio at a later date.
Visitation is 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017, and one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home.
