Margaret L. Dixon, 82, of Van Wert died at 7:39 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, 2017 at Van Wert County Hospital.
She was born on May 11, 1934, in Delphos to Charles and Mildred (Dunifon) Bilimek, both who preceded her in death.
She married Francis L. Dixon who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Charles Dixon, Russell Dixon, Ruth Moore, Roy Dixon, David (Cari) Dixon, Mark Dixon and Deb Goldfuss, all of Van Wert. She is also survived by brothers and sisters, Tom (Oleta) Bilimek, Carl (Linda) Bilimek, Harold (Nan Busch) Bilimek, Cora (John) Theis, Kathy (Gig) Kimmett, all of Delphos; Norma Bayless and Bob (Betty) Bilimek of Maud, Texas; Pat Naylor of Brea, California; Judy (Nate) Wilder of Dayton, Ohio; Doris Struzik and Cheryn (Don) Sidle of Van Wert; sister-in-law Betty Bilimek of Van Wert; and six grandchildren, Krystin Moore, Derrick Moore, Ethan Moore, Brittney Goldfuss (Ernie) Vasconcellos, Cody (Carrie) Dixon and Taylor Dixon; and two great-grandchildren: Anjolina Bliven and Ernest Vasconcellos.
She was also preceded in death by one sister and two brothers.
Margaret was a homemaker, former telephone operator and was a seamstress. She retired from Fisher Big Wheel in Van Wert.
She was a member of Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert. She was a Sunday school teacher, local genealogical researcher, enjoyed crochet, knitting and sewing and loved her family very much.
Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 27, 2017 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the service at the church. The service will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, at Trinity Friends Church on 605 N. Franklin St., Van Wert, Ohio. Pastor Steve Heilshorn will officiate. Burial will be held in Ridge Cemetery in Middle Point, Ohio.
Preferred memorial is to the family or the Trinity Friends Church Food Pantry.
