Marjorie Ayers

Marjorie Ann Ayers, 68, of San Diego, California, formerly of Rockford, Ohio, died at 1:30 a.m., May 28, 2011, in San Diego. She was born May 27, 1943 in Van Wert County, Ohio, to Ford E. & B. Carol (Manley) Ayers. She had lived the past 40 years in San Diego, after leaving Rockford. She had worked in several gift stores in the San Diego area, and the past 4 years had worked for the San Diego Padres. She bred and raised purebred Bengal cats and also competed in the feline shows with them. Surviving is her daughter, Crystal Ayers, San Diego, California; 1 sister, Joyce Linn, Ohio City, Ohio; 2 brothers, Rev. Jim (Jeanette) Ayers, St. Marys, Ohio and Stanley (Pat) Ayers, Peyton, Colorado. Two grandsons, Joseph and Trent Ayers also survive, along with several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother-in-law, Paul Linn. Graveside services for friends and family will be held June 17, 2011 at 1:30 pm at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford, with Rev. Jim Ayers officiating. Memorials may be directed to the grandchildren.
