Marjorie Hunter Shook Hoellrich, 93, of Sarasota Florida died August 11, 2018. She was born July 11, 1925 in rural Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Myra (Burris) Hunter.
She was a member of the Methodist Church and attended Union Centralized High School near Van Wert, Ohio. Her career included being a realtor, banquet and catering manager and director of sales at various hotels. She will be missed by family and friends.
Survivors include three sons: Tom Shook of Naples, Florida, Bill Shook of Sarasota, Florida and Dana Shook of Columbus, Ohio. Survivors also include a daughter: Valerie Barker of Sarasota, Florida, a sister: Rae Frey of Van Wert, Ohio as well as 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Jackie Lynne Shook who died December 12, 1950, two sisters: Doris Pessefell and Catherine Motyka and three brothers: Darrel, Terrel and Myron Hunter.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 25th at 1:00 PM at the Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, Ohio. Burial will immediately follow at IOOF Cemetery, Convoy, Ohio.
Memorial donations can be made to the Thomas Edison Center (PO Box 604, Van Wert, Ohio 45891) in Honor of Marjorie Hoellrich.
