Marjorie L. Knudson, 92, of Rockford, formerly of Celina, Ohio and Alma, Michigan, died Sunday, January 31, 2010, at 11:37 am at the Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford. She was born on August 22, 1917 to Luther E. Haney and Olive (DeWitt) Haney. In August of 1942, she married Keith Knudson, who preceded in death on June 24, 1983. She was a member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church in Coldwater, Ohio, and was an office manager for State Farm Insurance in Alma, Michigan and also for Industrial Solvents, Incorporated in St. Louis, Missouri. She had lived in Rockford for the past 3 years. Surviving is one son, Max Keith (Glenda) Knudson, of Vero Beach, Florida, five grandchildren: Linda (Eric) Temple, of Wapakoneta, Ohio; Cheryl (Jeffery) Christensen of Brookville, Ohio; Mark Thompson of New Bremen, Ohio; Donald Knudson of Vero Beach, Florida; and James (Rebekah) Knudson, also of Vero Beach, Florida, along with 6 great- grandchildren, Alec and Wesley Temple, Nicholas and Katie Christensen, and Kendall and Mitchell Knudson.. One son-in-law, Robert (Louanna) Thompson, of Rockford also survives. Deceased is one daughter, Gail Joyce Thompson and 4 sisters: Gladys and Myrtle Haney, who died in infancy; Hildred Hamilton; and Doris Trip. Friends may call on Thursday, February 4, 2010, from 5-8 pm at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, Ohio. Services will be held at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home in Alma, Michigan over Memorial Day Weekend, at the convenience of the family, the Rev. Allan Brown officiating. Memorials may be directed to the Coldwater United Methodist Church in Coldwater, Ohio. Burial will be in the Alma Cemetery in Alma, Michigan. [photosmash id=12]
