Mark Hoaglin

Mark Douglas Hoaglin, passed away on November 17, 2023, at Parkview Hospital Randallia. Born on September 6, 1958, in Van Wert, Mark was the son of his late parents, Gene and Wanda (Humerickhouse/Boyd) Hoaglin.

Mark had a passion for antiques and an extensive knowledge of vintage glassware. He enjoyed his work as a glassware dealer, auctioneer, and personal property appraiser. He previously taught driver's education and history classes at the high school level.

Mark graduated from The Ohio State University, where he was a proud life member of The Ohio State Alumni Association. He earned a Master's Degree from Mount St. Joseph University.

Mark was a member of St Mark's Lutheran Church and also attended Wesley Church of Van Wert.

Mark is remembered by his sister Sharon R (Larry) Harris of Scott, and his nieces, Tamali (Christopher) Pruden of Grover Hill and Lorali (Michael) Todd of Daytona Beach.

A memorial service for Mark Douglas will be held on Sunday, August 11, 2024 at 2:30 PM at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, 722 S. Washington Street, Van Wert. The family will receive guest prior to the service, from 1 to 2:30 PM, at the funeral home. Mark will be intered privately in Woodland Cemetery.
