VAN WERT, Ohio - Marshal E. "Ike" Moser, 58, of Van Wert, died at 12:22 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, at Van Wert County Hospital, Van Wert.
He was born Jan. 28, 1953, in Van Wert, to Erma J. (Baker) Pratt, who survives in Haviland, Ohio, and the late Robert W. Friend.
Survivors include: Special friend Debra Stephens and her daughter Leighann Stephens of Van Wert.
Children - Rob (Leslie) Moser of Van Wert, Chad (Stephenie) Moser of Burlington, Ky., and Jamie (Mark) Miller of Cincinnati, Ohio
Brother - Michael D. (Cindy) Moser of Haviland
Sisters - Gloria J.(William) Pabst of Haviland, Darlene R. (Randy) McMillan of New Haven, Ind., Mary A. Friend of Haviland
His grandchildren, Seth Moser, Ashley Moser, Bailey Krol, Lucas Moser, Samantha Moser and Tyler Miller, also survive.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert A. Friend, and a sister, Emily Pierce.
He was current road man for Pleasant Township, Van Wert County, for 17 years. He served in the U.S. Army.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Dillon Staas will officiate.
