VAN WERT, Ohio a�" Marvin "Marv" R. Smith, 82, of Van Wert, died at 6:58 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center, Van Wert.
She was born Oct. 7, 1932, in Grassy Spur, Virginia, to the late Winnie (Honaker) Wood and John Wood.
Her husband, Kenneth L. "Skip" Smith, Jr., preceded her in death.
Survivors include children: Kenneth L. (Maureen) Smith, III and Pamela Smith, both of Van Wert; brothers: John (Glenna) Wood and Stephen (Sue) Wood, both of Van Wert, Ray Wood of Kentucky, Charles (Joyce) Wood of Homestead, Florida, and Richard (Diane) Wood of The Villages, Florida; sister: Jane May of Scottsdale, Arizona; grandchildren: Justin (Jennifer) Smith of Lancaster, Ohio, and Melissa (Jonas) Pattie of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, and great-grandchildren: Abigail and Hannah Smith, and Tristan and Seth Pattie.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth "Butch" Wood, and sister, Gladys Quercio.
She was a homemaker and attended First Baptist Church in Van Wert.
Private family services will be held.
No visitation is planned.
Preferred memorial is First Baptist Church or Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.
