Mary Lou Dailey, 96, of Berne, Indiana, died at 11:15 PM on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Envive Healthcare of Berne.
She was born May 9, 1928, in Paulding County, to John and Lora (Reiser) Speakman. She married Charles H. "Chick" Dailey.
Mary Lou retired from Teleflex, in Van Wert, after many years of service.
She was a life member of the Geneva V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, a member of the Berne American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Ladies Bowling Leagues in Ohio and Indiana. She enjoyed horse racing, bingo, crocheting, bowling and Ohio State Football.
Mary Lou is survived by a daughter, Theresa Dailey of Berne; a son, Brian (Barbara) Dailey of Plymouth, Massachusetts; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; a son in law, John Gurganus of Van Wert; and a daughter in law, Janet Dailey of New Haven, Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Chick; 2 sons, Roger and Jeff Dailey; 2 daughters, Cheryl Gurganus and Lucinda Dailey; a son in law, Jay Dailey; 4 brothers; and 3 sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Stuart Wyatt, officiating. Interment will immediately follow in Blue Creek Cemetery, Haviland, Ohio.
Visitation will be from 10:00AM-2:00PM on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, preferred memorials may be directed to the family.
