Mary Sites

VAN WERT, Ohio - Mary H. Sites, 94, of Van Wert, died at 11:20 a.m. Aug. 17, 2011, at Van Wert Manor Nursing Home, Van Wert.
She was born June 18, 1917, in Venedocia, Ohio, to the late Mary O. (Murlin) Shobe and Stephin D. Shobe Her husband, Kenneth I. Sites, died Feb. 5, 1983. They were married Dec. 26, 1937.
Survivors include a son: Harold E. Sites of Van Wert, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her children: Kenneth R. Sites, Jack W. Sites, John D. Sites and Sandra C. Schnepp; brothers: Russell, Howard, Paul and Stanley Shobe; a half brother: Charley Sites, and her sisters: Mildred McGuire, Pauline Sites, Winnie Potts and Caroline Shobe.
She was a member of Trinity Friends Church, Van Wert, and a homemaker.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Steve Savage will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19 at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Trinity Friends Church, Van Wert.
