Matthew Fisher

Matthew J. Fisher "Buzz", 47, of Van Wert passed away at 12:10 AM on April 01, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 29, 1973, in Lima, to Donald Fisher and the late Gloria (Leghart) Fisher.

Matt was a 1991 graduate of Vantage Career Center and attended Lincolnview High School. He went on to earn his Associates Degree from Brown Mackie College. Matt was employed at Federal Mogul for over 20 years. He enjoyed spending quality time with his family, woodworking and tinkering with anything that has a motor. Matt also loved playing corn hole and fishing.

Matt was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church and the Van Wert Moose Lodge 1320.

He is survived by the love of his life, Jennifer Carr of Ohio City; son, Brady Fisher of Van Wert; daughter, Paxton Shields of Tippecanoe, Ohio; siblings: Julie (Jeff) Reidt of Van Wert; Donald (Jackie) Fisher, Jr. of Delphos; Mark (Debbie) Fisher of Lima; Cindy Hettesheimer of Delphos; Jennifer Fisher of Delphos; as well as several nephews and a niece.

A celebration of Matt's life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Matthew`s memory may be directed to the family, who will donate to their preferred charity.
