Matthew Alan Ford, 50, of Rockford, Ohio, died at 8:09 a.m. Friday, May 25, 2012, at the Van Wert Hospice In-Patient Center where he was a patient. He was born April 28, 1962, in Decatur, Indiana, to Ronald W. and Jacqueline A. (Snyder) Ford who survive in Spring Lake, Michigan. On October 15, 1983, he married Anna M. Kuhn who survives in Rockford. He was employed by Mercer Landmark in Chattanooga, Ohio, and was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, Rockford; the Rockford Fraternal Order of Eagles, and the Willshire American Legion. He had lived in Rockford since coming here in 1983 from Decatur. Surviving in addition to his wife and parents, are seven children--4 sons: Dustin, Michael, Joshua, and Andrew Ford, all of Rockford; and 3 daughters: Samantha (Greg) Norris, Celina, Ohio; Alexis and Madeleine Ford, both of Rockford. Three grandchildren, survive--Americus and Kayliann Ford and Kenlee Norris. Two brothers Jeff Ford of Vernal, Utah and Brian Ford of Spring Lake, Michigan, along with one sister, Nancy (Steve) Dalman of Spring Lake, Michigan . His mother-in-law, Alfrieda Kuhn survives in Rockford. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Teresa Catholic Church, Rockford, with Rev. Ken Alt and Rev. Ken Schnipke officiating. Burial will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Celina, Ohio. Friends may call on Tuesday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford from 2-8 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Van Wert In-Patient Hospice Center or to the Doner's Choice.
