Mildred Buechner

Mildred L. (Snyder) Buechner, 93, of Van Wert passed away at 2:35 AM on Monday, March 9, 2020 at Hearth and Home in Van Wert.

Born on January 22, 1927, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Chester Snyder and Grace (Stemen) Snyder. On May 3, 1959, she married Russell Buechner, who passed away in 1999. Together, they shared 40 years of memories.

Mildred was a graduate of Hoaglin-Jackson High School in Van Wert County.

Mildred retired as a bookkeeping supervisor with Van Wert National Bank after 15 years of service.

Mildred was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church, in Van Wert, where she served as treasurer of the Ladies Guild for over 20 years.

Surviving are her daughters, Beth (Randy) McNeal of Van Wert and Kathy (Rick) Scheid of Bloomington, Indiana; grandchildren, Ben McNeal of Van Wert, Ellen Scheid and Jane Scheid of Bloomington; and sisters, Ruth Girod of Van Wert and Janice Adams of Van Wert.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Dale Snyder.

The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Van Wert, with Rev. Kurt Klingbeil, officiating. Interment will follow in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point, Ohio.

The family will receive from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert.
