Mildred Kreischer

Mildred A. (Evans) Kreischer, 86, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Sharonbrooke Assisted Living facility in Newark, Ohio. She was born December 27, 1925 in Jackson Township to Edward and Mary (Duvall) Evans. Mildred married Harold R. Dunifon October 25, 1947 and they had three children together. Harold preceded her in death on February 8, 1963. She was married to Dr. Joseph R. Kreischer June 17, 1966 and he preceded her in death on December 22, 1968. Mildred was also preceded in death by her parents and her daughter Susan (Tim) Dunlap and brother Homer Evans. Mildred will be greatly missed by her family. Surviving are two children, Thomas (Lynne) Dunifon of Whitehouse, Ohio, and Roger (Judy) Dunifon of Granville, Ohio; five grandchildren, Aaron (Sara) Dunifon, Craig (Angela) Dunlap, Travis (Katie) Dunlap, Jeffrey and Carolyn Dunifon; and five great-grandchildren. She is survived by 2 brothers Ralph Evans (Judith) of Ohio City, Wayne Evans (Phyllis) of Yoder, Indiana and 3 sisters Annabel Holland of Van Wert, Lois Linser of Van Wert, and Ruth (Lloyd) Etzler of Convoy. Mildred belonged the First United Methodist Church of Van Wert where she was a member of the United Methodist Women and Mature Years Group. She was also a member of the Tri County Doll Club, The Red Hat Club, Woman's Club and the Ridge Progressive Club. She was a 1946 graduate of Lima Memorial School of Nursing. Mildred was a registered nurse and worked for 40 years at the Van Wert County Hospital. She was a 1943 graduate of Hoaglin Jackson High School. Services will be held on Thursday December 27, 2012 at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church of Van Wert with Senior Pastor Gus Christo-Baker officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Ridge Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Van Wert, Ohio or to the American Cancer Society
