Monica Hubble

Monica Lynn Hubble, "Moni", 73, of Van Wert passed away at 4:00 PM on June 20, 2021 at her residence while surrounded by her family. She was born March 26, 1948, in Van Wert, to the late Thomas S. and Patty Joann (Hipp) Burnett.

Moni was a 1966 graduate of Grover Hill High School and went on to attended the Juliet Gibson School for Girls in Columbus, Ohio. She worked for Leaders in Lima before becoming a mother, at which time she became a homemaker. Moni also provided child care out of her home and taught piano.

She was a member of Grace Bible Church and was often lost in her own world while reading a good book. She enjoyed knitting, sewing and selling Mary Kay Cosmetics.

She is survived by her loving husband, Richard Gene Hubble of Van Wert; son, Michael Thomas of Van Wert; aunt, Sue Brown of Roger City, MI; grandchildren: Asher, Jaden and Gracen Hubble; brother-in-law, Robert Hubble; nieces: Kari Hubble, Lisa Jackson, all of Muncie IN; as well as cousins: Diane, Nancy, Terry, Susie, Dora, Chuck, Mickey and Brooks.

In addition to her parents, Moni was preceded in death by her son, Benjamin Hubble, infant sister, Becky Burnett; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Leota and Edwin Hubble.

Funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, June 25, 2021 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, 722 S. Washington St. Van Wert, OH 45891 with Rev. Lance Hostetler officiating.

The family will receive friends prior to the funeral service, from 3 to 6PM, at the funeral home.
