Morey Drew, Sr

Morey R. Drew Sr. of Lima and formerly of Van Wert, died at 2:45 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2011, at his residence.
He was born April 10, 1942, in Continental, the son of the late Morey S. Drew and Grace R. (Shellebarger) Minor. On October 14, 1989, he married Debrae A. (Saintignon) Drew, who survives in Lima.
Other survivors include five children, Roger Drew and D.J. Drew, both of Lima, Phyllis (Chris) Michael of Convoy, and Morey R. Drew Jr. and Tricia (Roger) Unverferth, both of Ottawa; three stepdaughters, Rhonda (James) Carpenter of Payne, Pam Wilhelm of Van Wert and Colleen Fulmer of Continental; a brother, Sam (Deanna) Shartzer of Haviland; and seven grandchildren.
A daughter, Tina Drew; and one sister, Doris Landers, also preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with Pastor Don Byrd officiating. There will be no graveside services.
