Muriel Hagerty

VAN WERT, Ohio a�" Muriel H. Hagerty, 89, of Van Wert, formerly of Long Island, New York, died at 7:54 a.m. Monday, May 18, 2015, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born Oct. 5, 1925, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Genevieve (Koschull) Weir Budde and Harold Weir.
Her husband, Timothy Hagerty, survives in Van Wert.
Other survivors include a niece: Suzanna Weir Fultz, and four nephews: Pete Weir of Van Wert, Robert Weir of Rockport, Illinois, Jerry Weir of Van Wert, and Ted Weir of West Chester, Pennsylvania.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Weir and Gerald F. "Jerry" Weir.
She was a homemaker and had previously worked at Blue Cross/ Blue Sheild and had taught school. She was a member of Pi Sigma Sorority of Brooklyn College, Brooklyn, New York.
Services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation is 5:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 21, 2015, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.
