Oma Girod

Oma Lee "Missy" Girod, 71, of Eubank, Ky., died Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.
She was born March 20, 1942, in Virginia, the daughter of the late Ivel and Thelma (Fields) Fleenor.
Survivors include a son, Tony Girod of Richmond, Ky.; one daughter, Wendy (George) Key of Moreland, Ky.; two brothers, Johnny and Tommy; four sisters, Peggy, Becky, Sandy and Kaye, all of Ohio; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
A son, Travis Girod; one brother, Bruce; and two sisters, Diana and Susie, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 17, at Morris & Hislope Funeral Home, with Vola Brown officiating. A second service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 20, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Convoy.
Calling hours are from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the Kentucky funeral home and from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday at Alspach-Gearhart.
Alspach-Gearhart was in charge of local funeral arrangements.
