VAN WERT, Ohio - Ora Lou Beavo, 83, of Van Wert, died at 2:35 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
She was born Sept. 18, 1929, in Geneva, Ind., to the late Ethel M. (Booher) Teeple and Paul Eber Teeple.
Her husband, Junior "Jack" Beavo, died May 24, 2000.
Survivors include a daughter: Karen S. (Gayle L.) Stevens of Van Wert; sisters: Sharon Lindsey of Bryant, Ind., Peggy Klefeker of Ft. Recovery, Ohio, Linda Strick and Cheryl Grubenhoff, both of Van Wert; grandchildren: Paul (Jeanine) Stevens of Burke, Va., and Greg (Ashley) Stevens of Bucyrus, Ohio, and great-grandchildren: Michael, Megan, Matthew, Ryne, Austin, Sidney and Graycen Stevens.
She was preceded in death by her brothers: Keith, Landis and Leland Teeple.
She was a homemaker and had also worked at Sharp Canning Company and Van Wert County Hospital. She was a member of the former Van Wert Eagles Auxiliary and Van Wert American Legion Auxiliary.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Paul Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert Inpatient Hospice or Van Wert Relay for Life or American Heart Association.
