CONVOY, Ohio — Patricia A. (Vorhees) Shivley, 77, of Convoy, went to be with her Lord and Savior at 7:10 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2014, at Vancrest Nursing Home, Convoy.
She was born May 5, 1936, in Celina, Ohio, to the late Goldie (Silvers) Vorhees and Russel Vorhees.
Her husband, Bud L. Shively, died May 25, 2008. They were married on July 11, 1955.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Beanie Edwards, one brother, and five sisters.
She retired from Aeroquip-Eaton Corporation, Van Wert. She was a woman of strong faith and a member of Trinity Friends Church, Van Wert, where she was involved in the WOW ministries and volunteered in the food pantry. She was a former member of Twigs, enjoyed entertaining, but her true passion was her family - especially her children and grandchildren - and friends.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2014, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. Private family burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2014, at the funeral home.
