Patricia Shrider

Patricia L. Shrider, 82, of Rockford, died at 5:50 p.m. on Thursday, May, 24, 2012, at Colonial Nursing Center in Rockford, Ohio. She was born September 18, 1929, in Van Wert, Ohio, to Cloise and Frieda (Keith) Agler. On May 27, 1948, she married Richard G. Shrider, who preceded in death, January 1, 2003. She worked in the cafeteria at Parkway Local Schools, was a waitress in Rockford, and retired from Tu-Way Products in Rockford. She was a member of the Rockford United Methodist Church and a member of the Eastern Star. Surviving are three sons: Dudley (Charlotte) Shrider of Napoleon, Ohio; Michael (Kathy) Shrider of Rockford, Ohio, and Jeffrey (Sue) Shrider of Mendon, Ohio; two sisters, Peggy (Paul) Semer and Cheryl (Denny) Bidlack, both of Grover Hill, Ohio; eight grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Deceased is a sister, Marcelyn S. Winters and a brother, Joseph E. Agler. Services will be held on Sunday, May 27, 2012, at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Chip Steffy officiating at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, Ohio. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2-8 p.m., and on Sunday, one hour prior to the service.
