Patsy Louise Hockett, 74, of Ohio City, Ohio, passed away on November 25, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 3, 1944, in Abbs Valley, Virginia, to the late Samuel Franklin and Ethel (Britt) White. On January 22, 1963, she married Dennis Hockett, and he survives. Patsy was a homemaker, and loved raising her four children. She had lived in the area for the past 22 years, coming from Vandalia, Ohio. She was a member of the Abounding Grace Ministry Church, north of Celina.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her 3 sons: Dennis (Carol) Hockett of Troy, Ohio; Timothy Hockett of Ohio City, Ohio; Richard (Krissie) Hockett of Clayton, Ohio; and her daughter, Cynthia (Toby) Gile of Ohio City, Ohio. Patsy has 8 grandchildren, who she loved spending time with: Leanna Hockett, Paige (Ben) Davis, Justin Hockett, Corey (Shelby) Layman, Zachary Layman, Alexander Gile, Madison Gile, and Miranda Gile. And she adored her 2 great-grandchildren, Isabella Freshaur and Warren Fink, and was anxiously
awaiting the birth of her great-grandaughter, Olivia Louise Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the Abounding Grace Ministry Church, north of Celina on US 127, with Pastor Rick Brosher officiating. Graveside services with burial will take place at Forest Hills Cemetery , 11890 N. Dixie Dr., Tipp City, Ohio, at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Friends may call at the church prior to the service on Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Memorials may be directed to the Abounding Grace Ministry Church.
