Patty Boley

Patty Lynn Boley, 55, of Van Wert, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 20, 2020.

Patty was born in Lima, Ohio, on April 4, 1965 to Willard Lowell and Florence (Robey) Nolan of Van Wert County.

She was an exceptional mother, who lived her life selflessly for her children, her husband, and her family, as a living example of what it meant to be kind, thoughtful and compassionate to all.

Patty was a teller at 1st Federal of Van Wert, where she was always a friendly face ready to greet customers as they walked through the door. She was a member of Trinity Friends Church and was committed to serving both her community and her church faithfully. She will be missed by many.

Patty is survived by her husband, Rick Boley of Van Wert, her mother, Florence (Robey) Nolan of Van Wert, her son Adam (Paul McGraw) Lassiter of Columbus, OH and daughter Elizabeth Lassiter of Van Wert. Step-children, Curtis Boley of Columbus, OH, Erica (Robert) Mefferd of Convoy, and Nicholas (Shannon) Boley of Van Wert; as well as her step-grandchildren, Lucas, Grant, Courtney, McKenna, Alivia, Easton, and Elijah. Mourning her loss are siblings: Nancy (Jim) Wilcox, Jeff (Julie) Nolan, and Lisa Nolan.

She is proceeded in death by her father Willard Lowell Nolan in 2012 and her infant sister Melody Ann Nolan.

Preferred memorials include TFC upward basketball and to Patty's family.

Because of national health concerns, Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory and Patty's family are following directives limiting attendance to the visitation and funeral service to only immediate family members. Burial will take place at Tomlinson Cemetery in Mercer County, OH.
