VAN WERT, Ohio - Perry C. Patsiavos, 81, of Van Wert, beloved father, grandfather, brother and friend, died at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
He was born Nov. 10, 1931, in Springfield, Ohio, to the late Anastasia Patsiavos and Chris Patsiavos.
His wife, Loella "Lu" Patsiavos, died May 17, 2013. They were married Feb. 19, 1977.
Survivors include children: Tina (Paul) Vergilis of Cumming, Ga., Pete (Melissa) Patsiavos of Hudsonville, Mich., and Nicole (Mike) Nocilla of Canton, Ga.; brother: Jim (Jan) Patsiavos of Springfield, Ohio; sister: Maria (John) Pease of Indianapolis, Ind., and six grandchildren: Melina Vergilis, Nicholas, Analise and Olivia Patsiavos, and Kelsy and Kyla Nocilla.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Stella Ek.
He retired as the owner/operator of Medical Arts Pharmacy in Van Wert. He was currently a pharmacist for Derry Drugs in Van Wert and a member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Ft. Wayne, Ind. He was a veteran of the United States Army, a member of Van Wert Elks Lodge and an avid golfer.
Services will be held at noon Saturday, July 6, 2013, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Andrew Walsh will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2013, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is American Cancer Society.
