Randy Goodwin

COMMERCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Randy E. Goodwin, 62, of Commerce Township, Mich., died at 1:25 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6, 2012, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 8, 1949, in Kenton, Ohio, to Mary Lou (Bailey) Goodwin, who survives of Van Wert, Ohio, and the late Richard "Ernie" Goodwin. His wife, Belinda (Collins) Goodwin, survives of Commerce Township, Mich.
Other survivors include his children: Cheri Goodwin of Van Wert, David E. Goodwin of Wren, Ohio, and Eric S. Goodwin of Commerce Township, Mich.; a sister: Bekkie (Rolland) Mowery of Van Wert; his grandchildren: Dustin Heath; Nathen Goodwin; Bradley Goodwin; Courtney Goodwin, and two great-grandchildren: Devin Heath and Madilyn Goodwin.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild: Brandon Heath.
He currently was factory supervisor at Technicolor in Livonia, Mich. He had formerly worked at Huffy Bicycle in Celina, Ohio, for many years. He was a member of the Methodist church, was a 32 degree Mason, a member of Shane's Lodge of F.A. & M. in Rockford, Ohio, and was a Boy Scout leader for many years.
Services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Paul Miller will officiate. Friends may call from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. and 4 - 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Ronald McDonald House.
