VAN WERT, Ohio a�" Raymond R. Bay, 63, of Van Wert, died at 9:48 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice, Van Wert.

He was born July 22, 1951, in Port Clinton, Ohio. His mother, Dorothy Lucille (Stover) Snyder, survives in Port Clinton. His father, Raymond N. Bay, is deceased.

His wife, Cynthia K. (Kosta) Bay, survives in Fremont, Ohio. They were married on June 22, 1982.

Other survivors include children: Raymond Joshua Bay of Churubusco, Indiana, Christopher Jonathan (Karen) Bay of Brownsburg, Indiana, and Sarah Beth (Nik) Landauer of Hillsboro, Oregon; brothers: David Duby of Springfield, Missouri, John (Carolyn) Snyder of Port Clinton, Joseph (Mary) Isbel of Port Clinton, and Matthew Snyder of Port Clinton; a sisters: Katherine (Terry) Moore of Birmingham, Alabama, and grandchildren: Alicia Armstrong, Christopher Michael Bay, and Trever Alexander Bay, all of Brownsburg.

He was a semi-truck driver and drove for Century Steps of Convoy, Ohio, for nine years, formerly worked for E. Conrad Trucking, Van Wert, and currently drove for Dedicated Fleet Logistics of Van Wert, Ohio for the past 15 years.

He enjoyed being a DJ for weddings for about 20 years. He was a former member of Larks R.C. Flying Club, former member of Wetzel Motorcycle Club, former member of Fraternal Order of the Moose of Van Wert, former member of the Van Wert Outdoorsmen Club, and former member of Paulding Fish & Game Club.

Ray is greatly missed by the many people that he touched. And to show the love that Ray has shown to those who remain, there will be a time of remembrance to be held at The Wild Hare Restaurant at 903 West Main Street, Van Wert, on Sunday Aug. 24, 2014, at 5:30 p.m. Please come and share a memory and one last meal with Ray.

Preferred memorial is Van Wert Inpatient Hospice.
