Regnald McBride

Regnald “Reg” McBride, 83, of Hamilton, Ohio, formerly of Rockford, died early Saturday morning, August 11, 2018, at Atrium Medical Center in Middletown, Ohio.  He was born on September 8, 1934, in Black Creek Township, Rockford, Ohio, to Earl and Dorothy (Ripley) McBride.  Along with his father, he farmed for many years. He was also employed by Central Soya, in Decatur, Indiana, where he retired after 42 years.  On December 3, 1988, he married Sheila Dickerscheid, who survives in Hamilton, Ohio.  They made their home in Rockford eventually retiring in Weatherford, Texas before their recent return to Ohio.

Surviving in addition to his wife Sheila, are 4 stepsons:  Brian (Laurie) Bennett, Paul (Marian) Bennett, Joe (Jami Jo) Bennett, and Chris (Tanya) Biehle; 4 grandchildren:  Brandi (Mike) Kokal, Erin (Mike) Stropkovic, Steven (Tanya) Bennett, and Justin (Jennie) Bennett; and 3 great grandchildren:  Ella Kokal, Vivienne Kokal, and Caroline Bennett.  Also surviving are his sister, Joyce (Jim) Boone, of La Mesa, California and sister-in-law, Rhonda Dickerscheid, of Seven Mile, Ohio.  Deceased are his parents and a sister Theda “Teddy” Cuffari.

Services will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford, with Pastor Mark Rutledge officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.  Friends may call on Sunday at 1:00 p.m., up until the time of the service.  Memorials may be directed to the Animal Protective League of Mercer County.  Condolences may be expressed at ketchamripley.com
