Rev. Richard LePage, 68, of Rockford, died at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday, November 05, 2013, at his home after a brief illness. He was born on January 6, 1945, in Warsaw, Indiana, the son of Rev. Herbert and Donnabelle (Thomas) LePage. On July 12, 1970, he married Roberta Beeks, and she survives in Rockford. He was a graduate of Clear Creek High School, Class of 1963 and was also a graduate of Huntington College, with a Bachelors and Masters of Christian Ministry. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam. He was a member of the Rockford Lion's Club and the Praise Point Community Church in Willshire, Ohio. He was pastor of numerous churches: he was a minister of the Gospel at the Zion U.B. Church, Willshire; the Mt. Zion U.B.Church, Yoke Parish, in Bobo, Indiana; the Mt. Victory U.B. Church, Decatur Indiana; Loon Creek Church of the Brethren, Huntington, Indiana; LaPlace Church of the Brethren, LaPlace, Illinois; Rock Run Church of the Brethren, Goshen, Indiana, before moving back to Rockford to be with friends and family. Surviving in addition to his wife, Roberta, are their two children: a son, Randy (Amy) LePage of Wabash, Indiana, and a daughter, Rachael Annette (David) Brodbeck, of Huntington, Indiana. Also surviving are four grandsons: Michael Allen and Gabriel Douglas LePage and Garrett Wade and Ethan Robert Brodbeck. A sister, Carolyn (Larry) Welborn of Delphi, Indiana and two brothers, Danny (Glenda) LePage, also of Delphi and Larry (Sarah) LePage of Lafayette, Indiana survive as well. Services will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at the Praise Point Community Church in Willshire, with Pastor Brad Kittle officiating. Burial will be in Stringtown Cemetery,Rockford with military graveside rites by the Celina VFW. Friends may call at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home in Rockford on Thursday, from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., and on Friday, at the church, one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be directed to Gideons Bibles, State of the Heart Hospice, or Praise Point Community Church.
