Rex Stahl

Rex R. Stahl, 79, of Grover Hill, passed away on Saturday, August 4th, 2018 in his home.  He was born in Grover Hill, September 25, 1938, to the late Edwin and Vida (Stuckey) Stahl.  Rex married Donna (Justinger) Stahl July 22, 1961 and she survives.

Other survivors include his two children, Gregory Stahl of Auburn, IN and Penny (Reggie) Buehrer of Van Wert; four grandchildren, Marie Stahl, Joshua (Jennifer) Buehrer, Jason (Jessica) Buehrer and Katie (Brad) Allison; five great grandchildren who were the light of his life, Chase Stahl, Caleb and Elisha Buehrer, Lucas and Lydia Allison.  He is also survived by an older brother Don (Marge) Stahl of Grover Hill.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Elliott and Barbara Elston.

Rex was a graduate of Grover Hill High School.  He served his country in the United States Army stationed in White Sands, NM.  He was an avid softball player- playing in 3 world fast-pitch tournaments while in the Army.  He also enjoyed golf, fishing and all kinds of card games.

Rex attended Zion Christian Union church and over the years served the Lord by singing and teaching Sunday school where ever he attended.

There will be no public services.  The family will have a private Celebration of Life gathering.
