GROVER HILL, Ohio - Richard Lambert, 65, of Grover Hill, died at 2:30 a.m. Friday, June 7, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Sept. 22, 1947, in Harts, W.Va., to the late Elsie (Rakes) Lambert and Collie Lambert.
His wife, Rita I. (Eaken) Lambert, died Feb. 17, 2012.
Survivors include children: Patty (Chris) Schaffer of Bryan, Ohio, Cheryl (Steve) Schauer of Twin Lake, Mich., Marlene (James) Jewell of Grover Hill and Ryan (Lanie) Lambert of Ayersville, Ohio; brother: Roger (Peggy) Lambert of Ranger, W.Va.; sisters: Avonell Lambert of Chapmanville, W.Va., Jennifer (Burton) Shelton of Ranger, W.Va.; four grandchildren: Joseph Ankney, Jessica Schaffer, Cade Schauer, Brooke Schauer, and a great-grandchild: Faith Schaffer.
He was preceded in death by a sister: Rebagail Berry, and two grandchildren: Haley Schauer and Blake Jewell.
He retired from General Motors, Defiance, Ohio, after 35 years of service. He was a member of Oakwood Church of Christ in Oakwood, Ohio.
Services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, June 9 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert, Ohio. Evangelist Lonnie Lambert will officiate.
Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Sunday, June 9 at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Oakwood Church of Christ.
