VAN WERT - Richard L. Williams, 47, of Van Wert, died early Wednesday morning, Nov. 21, 2012 at his residence.
He was born July 2, 1965 in Van Wert to Betty (Kohn) Williams and Wayne Williams who each survive in Van Wert.
He is survived by his children: Zachariah B.L. (Jessica) Williams of Van Wert, Nathan T. Williams of St. Marys, Ohio and Kelsey R. Williams of Rockford, Ohio, and by three grandchildren: Jaden Williams, Zachariah Williams, Jr., and Brynna Williams. He is also survived by three brothers: Joel (Jennifer) Williams of Van Wert, Mike (Wendy) Williams of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Mark (Melissa) Williams of Van Wert.
He worked for Williams Construction of Van Wert for 28 years. He had won several horseshoe competitions and loved hunting and boating. He was affectionately known as "Rocket Man."
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, 722 S. Washington St., Van Wert. Rev. Robert Frake will officiate. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2012 at Alspach-Gearhart.
