GROVER HILL, Ohio - Rita I. Lambert, 63, Grover Hill, died at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at Parkview Hospital, Ft. Wayne, Ind.
She was born Sept. 10, 1948, in Van Wert, Ohio, to the late Harriet (Long) Eaken and Erwin D. Eaken. Her husband, Richard Lambert, survives of Grover Hill.
Other survivors include her children: Patty (Chris) Schaffer of Ney, Ohio, Cheryl (Steve) Schauer of Twin Lake, Mich., Marlene (James) Jewell of Grover Hill and Ryan Lambert of Defiance, Ohio; a brother: Dana (Pam) Eaken of Antwerp, Ohio; her sisters: Margaret (Walt) Womack of Antwerp, Shirley (Ron) Myers of Sturgis, Mich., Marjorie McBride of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Donna (Galen) Dettmer of Yoder, Ind., and Marcella (Bob) Blackmore of Payne, Ohio; her grandchildren: Joseph Ankney, Jessica Schaffer, Cade Schauer, Brooke Schauer, and a great-grandchild: Faith Schaffer.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Tim Eaken, and two grandchildren: Haley Schauer and Blake Jewell.
She retired as the head cook in the Wayne Trace School District and was a member of Oakwood Church of Christ in Oakwood, Ohio.
Services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home and Crematory, Van Wert. Evangelist Lonnie Lambert will officiate.
Friends may call from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19 at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Oakwood Church of Christ.
