Rita Strukamp

Rita Anne Strukamp, 50, Rockford, died Friday, May 20, 2011, at 1:30 p.m. at Laurels of Shane Hill, Rockford. She was born July 19, 1960, in Van Wert, Ohio, to Elmer and Virginia (Houser) Strukamp. Surviving are her mother: Virginia Strukamp, Rockford; two sons: Chad Strukamp, Rockford, and William Black, Celina; one daughter: Alyssa Black, Rockford; Life Long Companion: Robert Black, Celina; two sisters: Teresa Strukamp, Rockford, and Pamela (Randy) Severns, Mendon; one brother: Kevin (Lynette) Strukamp, Decatur, Indiana; one granddaughter: Marlee Black; and nephew: Cody Severns. She graduated in 1978 from Parkway High School, Rockford. She worked for 20 years at Veyance Technologies, Formerly Good Year Tire and Rubber Co., St. Marys, Ohio. She was a member of Eagles Auxiliary #1292, Rockford, where she served in many offices, presently was a trustee. Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford. Burial will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Rockford. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Memorials may be directed to the children. [photosmash id=49]
