VAN WERT, Ohio a�" Robert O. Bell, 90, of Van Wert, died at 11:25 p.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Vancrest of Van Wert.
He was born July 20, 1923, in Van Wert, to the late Lorena (Fritz) Bell and Lester Bell.
His wife, Helen Louise Bell, preceded him in death. They were married Jan. 19, 1947.
Survivors include children: Kenneth W. (Janet) Bell and Donely J. (Nancy) Bell, both of Van Wert; sister: Mary Louise Kimpel of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; grandchildren: Stuart (Amanda) Bell of Pevely, Mo., Matt (Katie) Bell of Granger, Ind., Rebecca (Aaron) White and Kristina Bell, both of Van Wert, and great-grandchildren: Ethan White and Gabriel Bell.
He was preceded in death by an infant son: Dwight Alan Bell, two brothers: Cliff Bell and Lester Bell Jr., a half brother: Ivan Bell, sisters: Bernice Brown and Irene Rager, and a half sister: Cecil Weaver.
He was co-owner of Triangle Super Value in Van Wert and a member of First United Methodist Church of Van Wert.
He served in World War II as a member of the United States Army.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Paul Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
