Robert J. Flynn, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at his residence in Convoy, OH, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 29, 1977, in Decatur, IN, to his late parents, James Clay Flynn and Connie Flynn Richardson.

With an enduring love for his family, Robert cherished his role as a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Karri Flynn. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and mutual support. Their journey was blessed with the joy of parenthood, and Robert's heart overflowed with pride for his son, Jaxson Schnepp, and his daughters, Violet and Scarlett Flynn. He was their role model, their confidante, and their biggest cheerleader. The warmth and affection he shared with his family will forever be etched in their hearts.

A man of many passions, Robert found solace in the tranquility of nature. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, and taking long walks, allowing him to connect with the world around him. Robert was also a determined individual who, fueled by his love for challenge, embarked on various ventures throughout his life. He earned an Associate's Degree in Business from the University of Phoenix, equipping him with the knowledge and skills to succeed in life.

Robert's career path led him to the construction industry, where he excelled as an independent roofing contractor. Known for his expertise, he often engaged in friendly competitions with his peers to determine who could lay shingles and reach the peak the fastest. His dedication to his craft was evident in every project he undertook, leaving a lasting imprint on the community he served.

Despite his accomplishments, Robert's greatest source of happiness resided in spending precious moments with his loved ones. Whether it was sharing laughter around the dinner table, embarking on family adventures, or simply enjoying quiet evenings at home, he treasured every second spent with Karri, Jaxson, Violet, and Scarlett. His unwavering love and support will forever be cherished and celebrated by those he leaves behind.

In addition to his wife and children, Robert is survived by his brother, Terry Flynn; sister, Cathy (Paul) Freeland; nieces and nephews: Shantel (Kevin) Schultz, Jack Sweat, Marion (Sue) Sweat, Madison Wappelhorst, Paul Freeland III,mother-in-law, Susy Kientz; brother-in-law, J.C. Bates and his 3 children; sister-in-law, Molly Kientz and her child; as well as 7 great nieces and nephews.

To honor Robert's life, a visitation will be from 1 to 4 PM on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, 722 S. Washington Street, Van Wert, OH 45891. Robert will be laid to rest privately in Woodland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the family for final expenses.
