SCOTT, Ohio a�" Robert E. Hartman, 69, of Scott, died at 7:12 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice, Van Wert, Ohio.
He was born Jan. 11, 1945, in Van Wert, to Thelma (Stegaman) Walls, who survives of Van Wert, and the late George Walls.
His wife, Bonnie Jean Hartman, preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children: Robert W. (Cathy) Hartman of Willshire, Ohio, Mike W. Hartman of Convoy, Ohio, Cynthia (Phil) Rhea of New Albany, Ohio; sisters: Pattie (Dee) Puckett of Muleshoe, Texas, and Sandy (Larry) Hirschy of Convoy; seven grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
He retired from Phelps-Dodge, Ft. Wayne, Indiana. He was a member of Van Wert V.F.W., American Legion, and Moose Lodge. He was also a member of the Convoy Fox Hunters Conservation Club, Convoy.
Services will be held at noon Saturday, May 10, 2014, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, Van Wert. Burial will be Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert.
Calling will be from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 10, 2014, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center or donor's choice.
