GROVER HILL, Ohio a�" Robert L. Lake of Grover Hill died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, April 9, 2016, at Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center. He was born March 7, 1934, in Paulding County, Ohio, to Bessie (Kelly) Lake and Allen Lake. Both preceded him in death.
His wife, Alice (Bell) Lake, survives of Grover Hill. They were married May 15, 1965.
Other survivors include children, Jana (Michael) Miller and Krista (Chad) Roth, both of Grover Hill, Shara Lake of Toledo, Ohio, and Trisha (Adam) Ramirez of Defiance, Ohio; a sister, Bonita Beamer of Paulding, Ohio; grandchildren, Allie Miller, Jordan Miller, Katie (Jon) Lockie, Kylie Lake, Cody Roth, Alex Roth, Jack Lake, Joshua Lake, Adam Ramirez, Abram Ramirez, and Mikayla Ramirez, and great-grandchildren, Liam Lockie and Adelyn Lockie.
He retired from LaFarge Corporation, Paulding, after 41 years of service. He was also a life long farmer.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War and an avid farm toy collector especially International tractors. He loved animals and socializing with family and friends, telling stories and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Service will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory. The Rev. Michael Waldron will officiate. Burial will be in Middle Creek Cemetery, Grover Hill.
Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Grover Hill E.M.S. or Van Wert Inpatient Hospice Center.
