Robert G. “Rob” Ratliff, 49, of Delphos, Oh., entered into the presence of the Lord at 10:54PM on Friday April 11, 2014. He was at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, OH. He was born on July 14, 1964 in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
He is survived by his wife Kim (Young) Ratliff of Delphos, OH; parents Larry and Annerose Ratliff of Middletown, OH; children Sergei (Daria and grandson David) Ratliff of Newington, Connecticut, Sasha Ratliff, Delphos, OH, and Nadia Ratliff, Lima, OH; Sister Jennie (Doug) Creekbaum (niece Sammy and nephew Beau) Middletown, OH; Brother In Law Rich Young of Columbus, OH; Many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins survive. He was preceded in death by his father in law Donald Young and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Rob was a graduate of Middletown High School. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Cincinnati. After receiving a Master of Divinity and pastoring for 16 years he began a career teaching, currently teaching at Apollo Career Center, Lima, OH. His Mother and Father were always very proud of his hard work and accomplishments but were even more thankful for the love and devoted care they received from their son.
Rob had many interests and passions (baseball, history, music, travel) but rising far above any of those things, his love for the Lord Jesus Christ and his complete confidence in God’s Word directed every part of his life. Towards the end of his life, his greatest desire was that everyone in his life would come to repentance through Christ Jesus followed by lives of devotion to that same Savior.
