MILFORD, Ohio - Robert L. Yoh, 85, of Milford, formerly of Van Wert, Ohio, died early Friday morning, Dec. 2, 2011, at his residence.
He was born May 3, 1926, in Van Wert County, Ohio, to the late Selma (Dunlap) Yoh Adams and Lee Yoh. His wife, Rowena (Dellinger) Huffman Yoh, died Oct. 23, 2011. The couple was married Jan. 12, 1992.
Survivors include a son: Greg (Lori) Yoh of Milford; stepdaughter: Kathy Perry of St. Charles, Mo.; one brother: Doyle R. (Janice) Adams of Van Wert; a sister: Jean Ann (Clyde) Ford of Crossville, Tenn.; his grandson: Adam Yoh, and stepgrandchildren: Jennifer Maggard and Jessica Jackson.
He had attended St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Van Wert. He retired from the Continental Can Co. in Van Wert in 1982 after 36 years. He served in the US Navy during WWII, was a member of the Van Wert American Legion Post and the 40 et 8 of the Legion and was also a member of the Van Wert Moose Lodge.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert. A military graveside service will be conducted by the Van Wert American Legion and VFW Posts. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, 2011, at the funeral home.
Preferred memorial is Miami Twp. Branch of the Clermont Co. Senior Services.
