Ronald L. Parsons, 75, of Mimo, Florida, passed away at 8:55 pm on Thursday, July 28 at Vista Manor in Titusville, Florida. He was born on January 8, 1947, in Van Wert, to the late Francis and Loris (Lucus) Parsons. On November 22, 1966, he married the former Karen K. Lamb, who survives in Mimo.
He retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation after 35 years of service starting in 1971.
Ronald was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a life member of the Spencerville V.F.W. and the Van Wert American Legion.
He was a member of Trinity Friends Church in Van Wert, Van Wert Bowling Association and the former Van Wert Eagles.
Ronald enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, boating, spending time with family and friends, and bingo.
Surviving are his wife, Karen of Mimo, Fl; daughters, Rhonda Risley of Convoy, Ohio and Dawn Salickram of Mimo, Fl; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; a brother, Francis Parsons of Riverside, Ca; and a sister, Thelma Moore of Lima, Oh.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ronald L. Parsons, Jr.; brothers, Marion, James, Pete, Donald and Paul Parsons; and sisters, Clara Youtsey, Lois Pease and Maxine Bathel.
