BRYAN, Ohio - Ronnie L. Cooper, 52, of Bryan, died at 10:09 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2011, at Bryan Community Hospital.

He was born Dec. 7, 1958, in Van Wert, Ohio, to Rosemary (Smith) Cooper of Van Wert, and Gary Cooper of Van Wert.

Other survivors include a son: John Cooper of Bryan; one brother: Rod Cooper of Middle Point, Ohio; a sister: Sandy (Dave) Clayborn of Delphos, Ohio, and his nieces and nephews: Kimberly Ebel; Kevin Price; Josh and Taylor Hoehn; and Michael Cooper.

He attended Grace Community Church in Bryan and had been an electrical contractor. He was a very active amateur HAM radio operator, United States Army veteran, formerly involved with Farm Focus in Van Wert County, R.E.A.C.T. and Pioneer Volunteer Fire Fighter. He was a very loving and doting father.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Satuarday, March 19 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home and Crematory, Van Wert. The Rev. Mary Ann Tomlinson will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Middle Point. Military graveside services will be conducted by combined units of the Van Wert American Legion and VFW.

Calling hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday March 19 at the funeral home.
