Rosanna Etgen

Rosanna Etgen, 78, of Convoy, died at 8:08 p.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the Van Wert Area Inpatient Hospice Center.

She was born September 20, 1934, in Van Wert County, the daughter of the late Harley E. and Helen P. (Mollenkopf) Purk. She married Harold Etgen, who also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Etgen was a homemaker who also worked in the Aeroquip Corporation lunchroom. She was a member of Convoy United Methodist Church, Convoy Fox Hunters, Van Wert and Delphos Eagles, the former Van Wert Woman's Club and Alpha Delta Omega Sorority in Van Wert.

Survivors include a son, Scot (Karen) Etgen of Convoy; two sisters, Shirley Allen of Port Orange, Fla., and Vivian (Ron) Richardson of The Villages, Fla.; two grandchildren, Taylor Nicole Etgen and Eddie Glossett; and many nieces and nephews.

A brother, Gary Wayne Purk, also preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at Convoy United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Greg Leigh and Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery in Convoy. Calling hours are from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at Gearhart & Jurczyk Funeral Home in Convoy and an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
