Rose Horine

Rose Ann Horine, 90, of Van Wert, died at 5:40 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2012, at Vancrest Health Care Center in Convoy. She was born December 14, 1921, in Van Wert, the daughter of the late Harry and Leota (Ricketts) Roggenkemper. On May 23, 1941, she married David L. Horine, who preceded her in death on December 13, 1978. Survivors include three children, David I. (Darlene) Horine of Van Wert, Mary Ellen (Douglas) Waldman of Roanoke, Ind., and Marcia J. (Ralph) Lammers of Lima; a sister, Margaret Jean Barrientos of Sun City, Fla.; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. A daughter, Alice Suzanne Basinger; five brothers, Henry, Joseph, Robert, David and Paul Roggenkemper; and a sister, Harriet Pollock, also preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 2, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Paul W. Miller officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert. Calling hours are from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, July 1, at the funeral home.
