Rosy Elva Neal, 84, of Venedocia, Ohio, died at 12:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in Venedocia. She was born on May 7, 1930, in West Salem, Illinois, the daughter of Joseph Oscar and Zelda B. (Rodgers) Bowman. On June 29, 1958, she married Eual R. Neal, and he preceded her in death on May 14, 2010. Rosy was a homemaker and a member of the Apostolic Church in Van Wert, Ohio. She had lived the past 44 years in Venedocia, and had worked at Burger King and WalMart in Van Wert, and in Rockford, she had been employed by the Fremont Company. Prior to moving to the area, she had worked at RCA in Indianapolis, Indiana. Surviving are three daughters: Nila E. (Eric) Dull of Venedocia, Ohio, Tina M. Neal of Marysville, Ohio, and Sandra G. Neal of Botkins, Ohio; two stepsons: Howard L. Neal of Livonia, Michigan, and Curtis R. (Carol) Neal of East Wenatchee, Washington. Also, there are five grandchildren who survive: Stephen and Elijah Shramo, Amanda (Rocky) VanBrimmer, Lily Marie Braden, Sarah (Larry) Harter, and Emily Dull, as well as three great grandchildren: Domonic and Novalyn VanBrimmer, and Kaily Rose Harter. Surviving are two sisters: Beulah O. Thompson of Albion, Illinois, and Velma M. Brown of Mt. Carmel, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her three sisters, M. Daphene Bowman, Martha Grace Bowman, and C. Darlene Short. One grandchild preceded, Vashti M. Shramo. Services will be held at the Van Wert Apostolic Church in Van Wert, Ohio, on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Eric Dull and Pastor Robert Frake officiating. Burial will take place the following day, Sunday, at Neal Cemetery in Logan, Illinois. Graveside services there will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friends may call on Friday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, in Rockford, from 2:00p.m.-8:00 p.m., and at the church on Saturday, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Apostolic church or to the Donor's Choice.
