VAN WERT a�" Ruby E. Albright, 96, passed away peacefully on Dec. 25, 2013.
She was born April 11, 1917, in Van Wert County, daughter of the late John H. and Clara B. (Leathers) DuVall. On April 16, 1938 in Van Wert she married Gale M. Albright, who preceded her in death on Nov. 1, 1984.
Survivors include two daughters, Deanna K. (Jim) McCrea of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Patricia A. (Larry) Pritchard of South Bend, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Deborah K. Lawhorn, Carol S. Keppler, Scott M. Allen, Richard R. Kersten, Tamara A. Hickman, Valerie S. Perez and Nicholas L. Pritchard; three step-grandchildren, Lisa L. Genos, Loris A. Clemens and Tim J. McCrea; seven great grandchildren, Jack Kersten, Logan and Tyler Brown, Elaina Perez, Kyle Hickman, Riley and McKenna Keppler; and six step-great grandchildren, Cory Hickman, Kali and Thano Genos, Austin and Ashley Clemens and Jessie Stauffer; and three great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a son-in-law, Joe Allen.
Ruby was preceded in death by two identical twin daughters, Martha L. Allen and Mary S. Albright; three brothers, Edward, Raymond and Lawrence DuVall; one sister, Florence E. Short; and one great grandchild, Erin N. Keppler.
Ruby was a graduate of Ridge High School in 1936, a homemaker, a member of the First Presbyterian Church and Priscilla Circle in Van Wert, a member of the Union Township Improvement Club and Farm Bureau, and served 37 years on the Van Wert County Hospital Lady Board of Managers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home, Van Wert, Ohio with the Rev. Brian Campbell officiating. Burial will take place at Woodland Cemetery, Van Wert, Ohio.
