Ruth Gillespie

Ruth Ellen Gillespie, 91, of Delphos, formerly of Van Wert, passed away at 7:49 AM on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Meadows of Delphos. She was born on October 16, 1930, in Van Wert, to the late Glenn William Finkhousen and Goldie Evelyn Finkhousen. On April 08, 1950, she married the love of her life, Ralph D. Gillespie.

She is survived by her children: Gary L. (Chrystal) Gillespie of Auburn, IN; Bill (Tina) Gillespie of Angola, IN; Jeffrey A. Gillespie of Convoy; Kimberly (Shawn) Kimmet of Delphos; sister, Virginia Moysey of Columbus; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 2 step-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,  Ralph; son, Jerry Gillespie; brother, Don Finkhousen; sisters: Patricia Rolston, Mary Jean Gorman and Barbara Tomlinson.

Ruth will be interred next to her husband in Ridge Cemetery during a private ceremony.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ruth`s memory may be sent to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or to the National Leukemia Foundation. .
