Ruth Anne (Frankhauser) Lewis, 78, of Ohio City, died January 12, 2020 at her residence.
Mrs. Lewis was born July 13, 1941, in Bluffton, Ohio, to the late Levi and Mildred (Cotant) Frankhauser.
On December 23, 1961, she married Kenneth L. Lewis, who preceded her in death.
She was an honored graduate of Bluffton High School and Bluffton University. She was an inspiring head start teacher. She retired from the Farm Bureau and Nationwide Insurance, both in Van Wert.
Survivors include four children, Bryan (Debbie) Lewis of Sandpoint, Idaho, Bruce (Vicki) Lewis of Delphos, Brenda (Doug) Hurley of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Brad Lewis of Van Wert; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Stewart and Rebecca Lien; and a grandson, Cody Hurley.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory, 722 S. Washington St., Van Wert, Ohio, 45891.
Private family graveside services will be held at New Rockport Cemetery, Rockport, Ohio.
